Here is your list of weekend activities along with upcoming events! There is alot to look forward too in the Blue Water Area this summer. I will keep a list of future events, I know as of right now they are not all listed on here. If you have a local event you would like to share, leave us a comment and your event will be added to next weeks list!! These are free or cheap events & activities you can take advantage of this weekend. annual Marysville Car Show in Park.
Noon to Close …………….. Enjoy the rides, games, exhibits and refreshments in Marysville City
Park along the St. Clair River. Buy unlimited ride armbands from noon
to 3 p.m. for $15. After 3 p.m. unlimited ride armbands will be $20.
Kids’ Day – Buy a ride armband and your child will be entered into a
raffle for a boy’s or girl’s bicycle. Drawing will be at the festival stage
at 6 p.m. You must be present to win!
Noon to 6 p.m. …………… Entertainment on festival stage.
4 p.m. ……………………….. Rubber Duck Toss at Junction Buoy.
5 to 7 p.m. …………………. WSAQ will be broadcasting.
7 to 10 p.m. ……………….. Big Foot DJs will be playing your favorite music while you choose the
perfect spot to view our amazing fireworks arrangement.
8 p.m. to 1 a.m. ………….. Refreshment Tent Opens! Enjoy Budweiser, Budweiser Light, O’Doul’s
and Mike’s Hard Lemonade furnished by Earl Smith Distributing. Wine
tasting will also be available with our only certified sommelier in St.
Clair County Andy Bakko of Wolverine Market. Taste, learn and have
fun!! Come and take a photo in our Face Booth for only $1. A perfect
keepsake to remember to good times. (Presented by the Marysville
Lions Club to benefit Lions’ charities).
8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. .. Enjoy the music of Straight Shooter in the Refreshment Tent.

12 to 4 p.m. ……………….. Michigan Child Identification Program. (Presented by the Marysville
Masonic Lodge #498).
12 to 4 p.m. ……………….. Marysville Lions Club asks you to come and show your skill at this year’s 1st annual Cornhole Tournament. Beer will be served to keep
you hydrated. (Presented by Marysville Recreation Department).
1 p.m. to Close …………… Enjoy the rides, games, exhibits, music and refreshments in Marysville
City Park.

Vantage Point Farmers Market June 21st 8:00 am – 2:00 pm

  • Michigan-grown produce, along with: fresh eggs, honey, maple syrup, bison meat, baked goods, jams, beef, pork, pasta, trees, shrubs, flowers and perennials!

Maritime Center June 22nd   12:00 om – 3:00 pm

  • “Keith & Company” rounds out the month of June with its acoustic music for the whole family. Come on down to the Maritime Center, 51 Water Street, between noon and 3 p.m. and enjoy yourself!

  • St. Clair Historical Museum 308 S. Fourth St., St. Clair, Michigan There are volunteers available to show you the St. Clair Historical Museum’s collection. The museum traces St. Clair’s history from its start by Patrick Sinclair in 1764 to the present.

The mile walks are free non-competitive and open to all ages! Ticket Prices for Sightseeing Tours

  • Adults: $20 Seniors (60+): $18 Child (5-12): $10 See calendar or call ahead for availability. 4yrs & under: $1 Reservations are recommended.
  • Fourth of July Fireworks Cruise

This year’s fireworks cruise will take you down to the city of St. Clair to view their fireworks display! We will depart our dock in Port Huron at 8:30 pm and head downriver to St. Clair in time for the city’s fireworks celebration. Once the display is finished, we’ll head back to our dock in Port Huron. Tickets are $25.00 per person. Buy Tickets

  • BLUE WATER FESTIVAL Parade of Lights Cruise

The Parade of Lights Cruise begins at 9:00 pm and the Huron Lady II will lead the 4th annual Port Huron Parade of Lighted Boats down the Black River and out into the St. Clair River, but first, we’ll leave our dock, head out into the St. Clair River, and up to see the Blue Water Bridges and other sights along the way. Then it’s back up the Black River, leading the parade for all to see! Tickets are $25.00 per person. Buy Tickets

  • Daily Sightseeing Cruise

Enjoy the St. Clair River and the beautiful expanse of Lake Huron on our Daily Sightseeing Cruise. This one and a half hour, narrated cruise passes under the two International Blue Water Bridges connecting Port Huron, Michigan with Sarnia, Ontario, and takes in the view of the Fort Gratiot Lighthouse from Lake Huron. See giant Great Lake freighters up close and personal while relaxing aboard the Huron Lady II. Be sure to make our Daily Sightseeing Cruise part of your summer plans.

The Daily Sightseeing Cruise is offered on weekends in May & September at 1:00pm. We cruise every day June 14 – September 1 at 1:00pm. Beginning June 28 – September 1, we also offer 3:00pm cruises. Other dates for May and September are also available.

  • Dinner Cruises

Join us for a fun-filled evening of craft beer, specialty food and a cruise of the Blue Water area! You’ll check in at the Thumb Coast Brewing Co. on Quay Street in downtown Port Huron. The Huron Lady will be docked at the brewery to pick you up and take you out for an evening cruise, where you’ll take in the sights of the Ft. Gratiot lighthouse, the Blue Water bridges, beautiful Lake Huron and our famed Great Lakes freighters. Boarding begins at 5:30pm, and we will depart at 6:00pm sharp. After your cruise, we’ll take you back to the brewery where you’ll dine on a themed dinner paired with one of Thumb Coast’s very own craft beers. A cash bar is available aboard the Huron Lady and at ThumbCoast Brewing.

Camp Out With Dad Sanborn Park Thursday, June 26th 6:00pm

Bring your tents and sleeping bags and enjoy a great night out with lots of fun activities including a night-time swim in the pool, roasting marchmallows, games, a movie on the big screen and maybe even a few campfire stories.  First time campers without gear?  Don’t worry!! With the DNR’s new Adventure Trailer, you will have the supplies you need to see if camping is right for you!  Supplies are limited and will be available on a first come, first serve basis.  Camp set up begins at 6:00pm at the Sanborn Park baseball diamond.  All ages welcomed.

Mother and Daughter Day on the farm Rattle Run Farms, St. Clair Wednesday, July 30th 10:00am-3:00pm

Come and enjoy a fun and hands-on day of horses, hay rides, and lots of fresh air fun!  Spend lots of time in the saddle!  Bring your own lunch, boots and long pants.

Fee: Resident $130 per couple, Non-Resident $150 (addl. child $40)

The Blue Water Sandfest

The Blue Water SandFest http://www.bluewatersandfest.com/ will host Michigan’s first and only Master sand sculpting and Advanced Amateur competition/festival. This three day event is held at the foot of the Fort Gratiot Lighthouse, along the beautiful beaches of Lake Huron over the 4th of July weekend.

Event Activities: Master Sand Sculpting (State Championships) Contest, Advanced Amateur (State Championships) Contest, Amateur Contest, Interactive Sand Sculptures, Live Music, Sand Sculpting Demonstrations and hands on Lessons, Quick Sand©, Food Vendors, Kids Zone and much more… ….

This years event will feature the Master Level “Michigan State Championships”, the Advanced Amateur “Michigan State Championships” along with an amateur contest. Master and Advanced Amateur Sculptors are coming from 6 different States and 3 Canadian Provinces.|

This year we’ve also added a Kids Zone, a place for the Kids to practice their sand sculpting skills and get some hands on lessons.

You don’t want to miss this spectacular display of unbelievable works of art made from sand and water by some of the worlds best sand sculptors.
